In mobile market if anything above the Rs.20000 is considered expensive phone. We have two competitors trying to make their stronghold in this segment, the Nokia C7 and the Samsung Wave II.

Wave II doesn’t have the Super AMOLED display like the first Wave handset, Wave got the higher 800 x 480 pixel resolution over the Nokia C7 and a slightly bigger screen size (at 3.7 inches). Nokia C7 screen is also not bad – its AMOLED display delivered soothing colors, unlike Samsung’s Super AMOLEDs. Most important part is it has Scratch resistant Gorilla glass display. In this category Nokia C7 wins the league.

Operating System – The Nokia C7 runs Symbian^3, It is good and stable OS. Still it is lagging in web browser support but can be fixed by installing third party apps like Opera. The Wave II runs Bada OS 1.2 which we found to be quite good for a first attempt. You will get the plenty of free application in Symbian App Store. I really like the nokia Navigation and It is life time free. I personally used this navigation in India and impressed with its drive through support. Considering the OS I would like to select Nokia it is running on Symbian 3 and it more stable one.  This section Nokia C7 will be the real winner.

Camera – Nokia C7 got the higher 8 megapixel sensor count (the Wave II has 5 mega-pixel). But what spoils it for Nokia is the lack of autofocus. If you want to capture good sharpness picture then autofocus is must required one. On the other hand, the Wave II’s autofocus sensor will make sure that pictures don’t turn out blurry, no matter what the object distance is. If you are really serious about the camera and its feature then Nokia N8 will be the right choice for you.

Hardware: Here Samsung Wave 2 will win in clear picture. It got 1 GHz processor but Nokia C7 comes with 680Ghz processor.  Nokia c7 performance is not bad because it OS optimized for this hardware & all application runs smoothly.  Wave II got 2GB internal storage but nokia c7 has 8GB internal memory.  Wave II comes with HSDPA 3.6MBps where Nokia C7 10.2MBps HSDPA. It indicates that you can utilize good internet speed using nokia c7.

Conclusion: I’m not a great fan of Nokia, Considering above comparison looks like Nokia C7 will be the winner in this segment. Cost will be main barrier so have verifying the price with different source; both phones will be priced around Rs 18500. If you ready to spend some more money like RS5000 then you can go for Nokia N8
